DESCRIPTION

Shih Tzu junior is excellent for Shih Tzu puppies up to 10 months.

During the second phase of growth and up until adulthood, your puppy enters a phase of consolodation. He continues to grow, but in a less sustained rhythm.

From 4 to 10 months, the puppy finishes building and solidifying its bone structure. Its energy needs are still 1.6 times higher than those of an adult dog, but the energy contribution must be adjusted to avoid the risk of early weight gain, which is harmful to harmonious growth and the dog's longevity.

From the growth phase, the Shih Tzu needs a food adapted to his small new teeth and his brachycephalic type jaw: the lower jaw juts out in front of the top one, and curves upwards slightly. This results in difficulties in picking up the food, speed of ingestion and wastage.

The main reason for veterinary consultation with the Shih Tzu is dermatological sensitivity. The risk of cutaneous infection is 6 or 7 times higher than the dog population on average.

A tailor-made kibble, whose size, form and texture are adapted to the Shih Tzu puppy's brachycephalic maxillo-facial morphology.
