Scent: Gentle, powdery, floral fragrance with notes of fresh rose, a hint of spice, delicate musk, vanilla and patchouli.

Enveloped and non-enveloped viruses, bacteria, yeast, and fungi are ever present in our surrounding environment. Our pets are likely carriers of these microorganisms and can transfer them to various surfaces, including their owners, in the home.

In a breakthrough of product engineering, VIROGONE™, with the revolutionary ingredient ANTIBAC 2K®, not only has the power to kill bacteria, yeast and fungi, it also inactivates enveloped viruses. VIROGONE™ contains active natural plant extracts which makes it safer to handle than most products in the market today.

ANTIBAC 2K® mode of kill is by surrounding the membrane of the bacteria cell and enveloped virus on your pet's fur. ANTIBAC 2K® then interrupts the food supply chain, thus starving and killing the bacteria cell and enveloped virus. As a result your pet is free of irritation and feels absolutely safe.

There are many different species of ticks and fleas that can feed off your pets.
Once they are attached by imbedding their mouths into your pet’s skin, they begin feeding off its blood. As they continue to feast they become engorged with the blood they are draining and can increase their size by several times.
Ticks can pose a health problem to both pets and people. Diseases known to be carried by ticks include Lyme disease, Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever, and Ehrlichiosis. Symptoms of tick – borne diseases include fever, muscle and joint pain stiffness and rashes. If untreated, these health problems can become severe, leading to the need for long-term treatment.
Fleas are parasitic blood-sucking insects that make their home on your pets. Eggs are laid on the pets but because the skin of the pet is sometimes smooth they will often fall off onto carpets or sofas in the home. Each fertilized female can lay as many as 25 fleas per day multiplying into hundreds and thousands within a short period of time.
Ironically it is the cat flea that is responsible for most dogs as well as cat infestations. If your pet contracts fleas, your cat or dog will suffer from hair loss and skin lesions as well as painful and persistent irritation.

To prevent possible health problems from the transmission of dangerous pathogens inherent in ticks and fleas we need a repellent that prevents these pests from landing on the pet.

1. How long does VIROGONE™ protect my pet from ticks and fleas?
Virogone™ protects your pets form ticks and fleas for at least 4 hours. Optimum efficiency is observed for the first 2 hours.
2. After VIROGONE™ is sprayed, will it harm my pet if it licks its fur?
Virogone™ is non-toxic and contains mainly ingredients from natural products. So your pet will not be harmed if it licks its fur after Virogone™ is sprayed.
However, if your pet happens to drink Virogone™ from the bottle, just feed it with an equivalent amount of milk to inactivate Virogone™.
3. How do I apply VIROGONE™ on my pet for maximum efficacy?
Spray generously all over the body especially on the four legs and the belly. Avoid the eyes, mouth and ears.
For small animals e.g. hamsters, white mice, and guinea pig, spray a little Virogone™ on your hand and rub it on the small animal’s fur.
4. Will VIROGONE™ affect the lustre and smoothness of my pet's fur?
Virogone™ leaves your pet's fur with a shiny silky smooth feel because it contains the amino acid and a natural conditioner.
5. How often do I have to spray VIROGONE™ a day?
Spray at least once a day and before and after outdoor activities.
6. What makes VIROGONE™ different from other pet disinfectant?

7. How long does VIROGONE™’s fragrance last?

8. How does VIROGONE™ remove malodour from my pet and its sleeping abode?
Virogone™ contains a special compound, Zinc Ricinoleate that encapsulates and permanently removes maldour molecules.
9. Can I apply VIROGONE™ on my pet when it has a skin problem?
Virogone™ contains Antibac 2K® and Triclosan. These 2 compounds help to alleviate the skin problem because of its anti-bacteria, anti-fungi, anti-enveloped virus and anti-inflammatory skin repair properties.
10. Can my pet use VIROGONE™ even if it has a sensative skin?
Virogone™ is a mild formulation that is gentle on the skin. However, if any irritation/rashes develops, stop application immediately and rinse off with water.
11. How different is VIROGONE™ compared to neem oil and essential oils that also claim to repel ticks and fleas?
Neem oil has been showed to be up to 90% effective in fighting insects. However, the main ingredient, azadirachitin, degrades rapidly in light, excessive heat or alkalinity (Online Journal of Veterinary Research Vol. 4(3), 133 –138, 2000)
Essential Oils have to be used with caution as they can burn the skin and harm the eyes. These oils can be detrimental to cats when applied topically because the cat has very thin and sensitive skin, thus absorbing the essential oils very quickly. Essential oils repel ticks and fleas effectively only for a short period of time, usually less than 30 mins.
Virogone™ contains 3-N Butylacetoamine Propionate that has a long-lasting repellent action for at least 4 hours, and it has high chemical stability i.e. no tendency to hydrolyse, oxidize, photo-oxidise and high thermal stability.
12. Can I use VIROGONE™ when my pet is having an internal injury?
Virogone™ will not penetrate the skin, thus it will not have an effect on the internal injury. If in doubt, please consult your Vet.
13. What is the triclosan ingredient labeled on the VIROGONE™ bottle for?
Triclosan is a broad-spectrum anti-microbial agent that acts against a wide range of gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, moulds and yeasts. Thus it can be used as an antiseptic or disinfectant.
As a result of this microcidal activity, it has found increasing and recent popular use in personal care products such as toothpaste, deodorant soaps, deodorants, antiperspirants and body washes, detergents, dish washing liquids, cosmetics and anti-microbial creams, lotions and hand soaps.
14. What is the amino acid ingredient for?
Amino acids are the basic building blocks for proteins. The amino acid in Virogone™ has a skin moisturizing action and belongs to the natural moisturizing factors of the skin. It is also required for the synthesis of skin collagen, supports wound healing and the conditioning of hair.
15. How long will VIROGONE™ application stay on the pet fur?
Virogone™ will stay on the pet’s skin and fur unless the pet has a bathe or gets wet.
16. Are the fragrances from herbs preparation or essential oil?
The fragrances are from essential oils. The concentration of fragrance used in Virogone™ does not cause any skin irritation.
17. How does VIROGONE™ kill microorganisms?
Virogone™ contains Antibac 2K® and Triclosan, which have anti-microbial properties and work synergistically.
Antibac 2K® eliminates more than 99.999% of the following bacteria and fungi in 5 mins:
• Legionella pneumophila
• Escherichia coli
• Staphylococcus aureus
• Salmonella typhimurium
• Shingella flexineri
• Aspergillus niger
• Candida albicans
Antibac 2K® also eliminates enveloped viruses e.g. Herpes simplex virus, corona virus.
Antibac 2K® kills these microorganisms by surrounding the membrane of the bacterial cell or enveloped virus, interrupting their food supply chain and thus starving the microorganism.
Triclosan, besides eliminating the above-mentioned bacteria and fungi, also acts on other gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria (including various antibiotic resistant strains), yeast and mould species.
Triclosan kills these microorganisms by causing the disorganization of the cytoplasmic membrane and the leakage of low molecular weight cellular components.
18. Can VIROGONE™ help to prevent hair loss or minimise shedding of fur?
Virogone™ moisturizes the skin and conditions the hair. The fur is held firmer, preventing hair loss and thus minimizing shedding of fur.
19. Can VIROGONE™ stain or discolour the fur coat of my pet or the furniture at home?
Virogone™, being water-soluble, does not accumulate on pet’s fur or furniture. Therefore it does not stain or discolour the fur coat of your pet or the furniture at home.
20. Can VIROGONE™ eliminate non-enveloped virus?
Non-enveloped viruses can only be eliminated by harsher chemicals such as formaldehyde. This chemical, used in embalming of bodies, causes skin irritation and is a health hazard to your pets. Please consult a vet if your pet is infected by a non-enveloped virus.
21. Can VIROGONE™ help to solve skin or dermatitis problem on my pet?
Skin problems in pets are caused by attacks by fleas and ticks. Dermatitis can be caused by contact with allergens or irritants, which elicits an inflammatory reaction. Triclosan and Antibac 2K® in Virogone™ helps in the wound healing process with its anti-bacteria, anti-fungi, anti-enveloped virus and anti-inflammatory skin repair properties. However, if your pet has severe skin or dermatitis problems, please consult your vet.
22. What is the expiry date for VIROGONE™ spray?
Expiry date for Virogone™ spray is 3 years from the date of manufacture.

25. For longhaired fur coat pet, it gets wet & matted after using the VIROGONE™ spray. Please advise.
Virogone™ can be sprayed on your pet after bath. However if the fur is too wet and water is dripping down, Virogone™ may be washed off as it is water-soluble. So towel-dry your pet, which means the fur is still damp, and spray Virogone™. Virogone™ works effectively in wet/humid conditions. Comb the hair to prevent it from matting.
Longhaired fur coat pets will need daily grooming to prevent their fur from matting.
